Cape Verde Holiday Appartments

Two brand new, just furnished two bedroom, first floor apartments overlooking the pool and secluded gardens. Both apartments sleep up to six adults and cots etc can be arranged for younger children. In the apartments the master bedroom has a king size bed and on-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is a further family bathroom and one of the two, three seater soft Italian leather sofas transforms into a double bed. All of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and there is also a large fitted wardrobe in the hallway for sports equipment etc. There is a large open plan lounge/diner opening up to a large balcony fitted with hardwood table and chairs for Al Fresco dining. There is also hardwood sun loungers and a modern BBQ on the balcony. All furniture is solid oak including a six seater indoor dining table. All windows and doors will be fitted with fly screens.

 

All bedding is supplied, as are hand and beach towels and all kitchen pots, pans, plates and cuttlery. No need to bring anything apart from clothes! There is a small supermarket on site stocking essentials and a much larger one in town.

A welcome pack can be arranged with tea, coffee etc if required. There is also a free shuttle bus into Santa Maria and Ponta Preta beach that can be found at reception every hour or so. Taxis can also be found and called from reception. There is also 24 hour security on site.

 

The property has a great English on site manager (Trevor) who has been on the island for over 10 years and has lived in Villa Verde and the Canna community from the beggining. He has loads of local knowledge and is available for friendly advice and also can arrange (for a small cost) cleaning, laundry, taxis, airport welcome and pick up and a translator service should it be required. Access form the airport is really easy and only a 10 minute taxi ride to Villa Verde. It currently costs 10 euros one way and there are always loads of taxis waiting outside the small airport. From Villa Verde to Santa Maria is usually only 4 or 5 euros and you can hire a driver for the day for arround 30 or 40 euros.The local currency is Cape Verde Escudo but euros are accepted everywhere and credit cards are taken in larger establishments.
